Team Artisanity relies upon enthusiastic and committed individuals to run and is currently staffed entirely by volunteers. From time to time we may have an opportunity for new team members to join us to support our lovely community of local makers and artists.
What we are looking for:
- Friendly and approachable individuals who are willing to learn with a positive attitude.
- Crafting experience or an interest in arts & crafts is a big plus.
- Experience in retail is not necessary (though it would be great!) as long as you are happy to learn.
- A willingness to learn the use of some technology (eg the till!)
- Reliability and an ability to commit.
- Some free time.
Current Opportunities
Shop Volunteer (weekend)
We are looking for a friendly and reliable person to add to the shop rota for ongoing regular weekend cover (2 days a month). The shop is based at Glebe Farm, Astbury and stocks items from local crafters as well as hosting workshops. Opening hours are 10am-4pm Tuesday-Sunday.
Duties would include opening and closing the shop, welcoming visitors and answering questions, manning the till and recording sales, setting up for workshops and clearing up afterwards, making refreshments for workshop attendees. Full training would be given.
Time commitment: 2 weekend days per month (to be agreed in advance).

Shop Volunteer (holiday cover)
We are looking for a friendly and reliable person that we can call on to add to the shop rota for holiday cover (this could be week day or weekend to suit). The shop is based at Glebe Farm, Astbury and stocks items from local crafters as well as hosting workshops. Opening hours are 10am-4pm Tuesday-Sunday.

Time commitment: Occasional full days – frequency to be agreed.

Fair Volunteer
Our next Fair is the Christmas Craft Fair on Sunday 19th November 2024 at Congleton Town Hall. We are looking for volunteers to help with the smooth running of the day including welcoming stallholders and visitors and manning the raffle.
Time commitment: 2hrs+
