Braving the inclement weather, our Christmas Fair at Congleton Town Hall unfolded as a heartwarming success, uniting the community in festive cheer. Over 30 local, small, art & craft businesses , ranging from well-established gems to passionate newcomers, transformed the Town Hall into a vibrant marketplace.
Despite the persistent rain, the fair saw a remarkable turnout, with a steady stream of enthusiastic visitors exploring the diverse stalls. The ‘Hunt the Flamingo’ activity was popular with younger visitors while the adults make the most of the ‘Meet the Maker’ demo sessions and the high quality shopping on offer.
Attendees received raffle tickets for every £5 spent at a stall, resulting in an impressive tally of nearly 800 entries! The winners got one of 24 enticing prizes donated by our generous stallholders.
Marks Events elevated the culinary experience, offering a delectable array of cakes and food that proved irresistible to attendees. Meanwhile, BBs Entertainment added a melodious touch to the ambiance, infusing the air with live festive music that resonated throughout the day.
Congleton Radio came along and did some fascinating interviews with stallholders about their craft and stories. You can listen to a recording here:
The collaborative effort of local businesses and the community not only weathered the rain but also illuminated the true essence of the season. Our Christmas Fair was more than a shopping event; it was a celebration of local talent and a showcase of our community.
As we bid farewell to this year’s fair, the memories created and the bonds forged will undoubtedly linger, making it a truly special and memorable occasion for all involved.
